This Yale University Seminar on Autism and Related Disorders is the United States’ first undergraduate course of its kind. The class consists of a weekly seminar on diagnosis and assessment, etiology and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with autism and related disorders of socialization.

A concise introduction to life as a college student with Asperger Syndrome.

This video features Michael John Carley from the Global and Regional Asperger Syndrome Project (GRASP) and Kiriana Cowansage, an NYU Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Neuroscience as the primary instructors. OAR’s own Scientific Council Chairman, Dr. Peter Gerhardt, also appears in the video to provide information on the topic of “reasonable accommodations” in the college classroom.

In an effort to promote a more inclusive classroom environment, this short video uses animation and sound to teach elementary and middle school students about their peers with autism. To be used in coordination with the Kit for Kids, a peer education resource produced by the Organization for Autism Research (OAR).

This is a 1 hour video/audio recording of a webinar conducted by Mandi Rickelman, MA, Early Childhood Supervisor and Anna Hutt Fredman, MS, CCC-SLP, Speech/Language Pathologist from Monarch Center for Autism. The webinar aired on May 8, 2014 and answered the following questions: Why are visual schedules so important? How do I customize visual schedules for my child to make them more meaningful and more motivating? How do I implement visual schedules?

ASD Strategies in Action will provide online training on evidence-based practices that can be used in the home, school, and workplace of individuals with ASD. A wide range of social-communication and behavioral interventions is offered within one of the following three tracks: early intervention/early childhood, school-age, or transition/young adulthood.

An hour-long video that address the importance of using visual schedules and how to customize and implement visual schedules for individuals with autism.

Includes guides, webcasts, workshops and information on services throughout the autism journey, from diagnosis to adulthood.
