Education: Tutors (07-13 Years)

Evidence-based, solution-focused services in educational services to schools and families. They offer academic tutoring, specialized reading programs, summer social skills groups, speech and occupational therapy and psychotherapy. They also offer ADOS autism assessment testing for children ages 7 and up.

They work with students that are pre-school until 12th grade. Their psychotherapists can work with adults as well.

A+ Solutions is a Jon Peterson and Autism Scholarship provider, and accepts private pay.

Rick Schindelheim is on the staff at A+ and counsels tweens and teens.
Other team members that can see patients with autism are Sima Brochie Weinberg, LPCC; Oren Meyers, PhD; Heather Baker, LPPC-S; Lauren Ehrenreich, MSSA LISW-S; Courtney Evenchik MA NCSP; and Jenny Wolinetz, LSW.

Provides intervention services to children with a variety of needs as well as provide trainings and resources for families and schools.

They offer homeschool and center-based curriculum. Goals are created based on the needs of each individual child in the areas of social & emotional functioning, academic skills, language development, daily living, and fine & gross motored skills.

Columbus Tutoring Services offers intervention services for children with and without learning disabilities or other special needs in the areas of math, reading, spelling, written expression, organization, and executive functioning skills.

Offers ABA services, One-on-One tutoring, Home- and School-based consultation and support services, school-based consultations, and occupational and speech therapies.

They accept the following health insurance: Aetna, Altcare, Anthem, CareSource, Humana, Medical Mutual. They are also autism scholarship providers, they are a “Help Me Grow” Systems of Payment Provider and accept TRICARE Echo.

Therapies and guidance for children with a variety of special needs from kindergarten through high school.

Services include: individualized assessment of students’ learning styles, teaching functional learning strategies, development of self-respect and self-advocacy skills, and creating home strategies for parents. School consultation is also available.

Additionally, Kaki’s Learning Solutions offers an in-school dog therapy program, where students work with therapy dogs while developing sensory integration, emotional growth, improved communication and social skills, and improved reading and writing skills.

Professionals specializing in the assessment and treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Conditions, Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Depression, behavioral concerns, developmental issues, and chronic medical problems.

Early Identification of Autism Clinic — they will evaluate children under the age of 3 years (36 months) for a potential autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The multidisciplinary team includes a clinical psychologist and a speech-language pathologist (SLP) who can accurately and efficiently assess your child and provide recommendations for growth. Families can expect to complete information gathering/prework by phone or video conference and meet for a single, 3-to-4-hour evaluation appointment. The appointment concludes with diagnostic feedback and families will receive a brief report that day with diagnosis (if applicable), recommendations, and guidance that can be used to seek necessary interventions. A detailed report will be mailed within two weeks.

Teen/adult Services — they offer an executive functioning clinic and a teen emotional regulation clinic.

Dr. Heather Dukes-Murray specializes in the assessment and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning differences, and complex clinical presentations. She is the Clinic Director of the Early Identification of Autism Clinic at Meghan Barlow & Associates and works with individuals from toddler-hood to adulthood.

Social skills groups are available for a variety of ages.

Evaluations are required for most services.

North Coast specialized in tutoring children with learning differences and learning disabilities. In addition, the RICHARDS READ program is widely considered one of the finest reading programs available.

In addition to one-on-one in-home instruction, NCES offers classes at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio.These classes are offered at very reasonable rates and are very popular at Lakeland’s “College for Kids”.

Classes are focused on teaching social skills to a variety of ages (2 — 22) in varying situations. children, adolescents and young adults can learn skills to help them in a variety of situations, starting with making friends and progressing to more complex subjects such as negotiation, sarcasm, and online etiquette. Oh, Hi! also offers programs that help with mastering study skills and executive functioning.

Oh, Hi! incorporates a variety of evidence-based practices including video modeling, role-play, and social scripts. These methods help learners identify both verbal and non-verbal cues to use as a guide with peers. Classes are grouped by age, skill level, and individual interests.

Camps are available for ages 3-15. There is a kindergarten readiness camp, teen tech camps, and social skills camp for school age children ages pre-K through 1st grade.

In addition, they offer conduct behavioral assessments, school consultations and behavior intervention services. They do not have diagnostic services.

Solutions Behavioral Consulting offers a variety of programming options individualized to meet each child’s needs. All of the programs are developed based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Behavioral Consultation services provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and include implementation of the IEP by utilizing evidence-based practices. Also offers: group ABA sessions, speech therapy, individualized tutoring, a new adapted swimming lessons program, and a Little Learners school prep program for preschoolers. Helps individuals ages 2-22.

SBC serves the following Ohio counties: Portage, Summit, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Stark, Lorain

Multisensory reading clinics which are designed, directed and instructed by local educators who understand the climate and curriculum of greater Cleveland area public and private schools.

Offers school tutoring in a one-on-one or small group environment. Assists with homework as well as teaching the skills to succeed in the classroom environment.

Therapy and Wellness Connection provides services in their therapy center or in-home to clients in the areas of speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavior therapy, tutoring, intervention services, and full and half day homeschooling programming. They also hold parent training classes and parent support groups. Clients of all ages from birth to adult are served, but the majority of clients are in the K-12 age range. TES will conduct a comprehensive evaluation that determines a child’s strengths and weaknesses and will guide treatment planning.
