Community Fund Management Foundation is a foundation that develops and makes available several types of trusts, educational programs, and related services that enable individuals who are disabled to use private funds to enhance their quality of life while attempting to safeguard their eligibility for government benefits.

Hickman & Lowder can help with Special Education (IEPs and Medication); Special Needs Estate Planning; Medicaid Planning; Guardianships and Conservatorships; and Public and Private Agency Representation.

JFS can help adults in need by coordinating services, managing finances, providing direction, reassurance, and actively monitoring progress. When necessary, JFS can assume further responsibility through conservatorship guardianship, Power of Attorney, and as trustee.

JFS has a job bank where social workers can identify interests and assist in job-seeking efforts, as well as an emergency financial assistance program.

JFSA is guided by traditional Jewish values of communal responsibility and social justice. They offer several programs to assist teens and adults with disabilities with residential services, employment services, community inclusion, and family advocacy.

The Horvitz YouthAbility program offers volunteering and job training opportunities for disabled and at-risk youth and young adults.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services help people prepare for employment based on their skills and interests.
Adult Day Program offers group and individual day respite activities.

Wills and trusts, estate planning, guardianship, Medicaid planning, special needs law

Provides information, education, training, employment, and independent-living services to adults ages 18+ with disabilities. Also offers community-based evening and weekend activities.

A self-pay option has been developed for benefits services, including applications for Social Security and Medicaid, as well as Benefits Analysis, a process whereby individuals can understand the impact of employment on their eligibility for public benefits.

Services are available in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties.

Organization helps qualifying patients without prescription drug coverage get the medicines they need through the program that is right for them. They will help find the appropriate coverage program.

The Arc of Ohio has offices in several counties throughout the state. Each office offers local programming, in addition to these statewide services:

Advocacy — promotes and protects the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by advocating on a broad range of issues that affects lives of individuals and their family members, friends and co-workers

Assistive Technology Program — the provision of electronic equipment such as iPads, tablets, specialized screens, touch screens and software

Summer Camp — a four-week traditional day camp program for school-age children (4-22) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Camp is held Monday through Friday at Baylor Beach Park in Navarre, OH.

Family Choice Program — FCP bridges the gap in services that some individuals and families have been experiencing through the IO and Level 1 Waivers.

Support Brokerage — assists the participant and their families in arranging for, directing, and managing SELF Waiver services. A Support Broker represents and advocates for the participant in relation to the day-to-day coordination of services and community inclusion.

21st Century Financial consists of certified special needs financial planners who can identify financial goals for individuals with special needs and then create protection and investment strategies to address them.

They also host workshops to educate families on the many differences between traditional financial planning vs. special needs planning. They serve all of NE Ohio and have offices in Beachwood and Akron.

Zane’s Inc. helps children and adults with special needs in Northeast Ohio by educating their families about beneficial resources that will improve academic achievement. They do this through funding assistance, community outreach programs, and parent support services.

They also assist with financial support that can be designated for things such as: camps, therapies, respite, assistive or adaptive equipment, or communicative devices that help to meet daily challenges.
