PEP Prentiss Autism Center — Positive Education Program

PEP focuses on developing skills that have real life utility for each child. Using positive and proactive strategies, PEP professionals teach young people with autism new ways of relating, communicating, and behaving. This is a year-round program.

Prentiss serves school-age children and youth who demonstrate severe and challenging behavior ages 5-22 with autism spectrum disorder and other complex developmental disabilities, all of whom are experiencing significant impairments in communication. The following methods are offered: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA); Augmentative and Alternative Communication; Developmental Teaching – Developmental Therapy; DIR/Floortime Model; PECS; and TEACCH.
