CIP is one of the most comprehensive programs in the world for assisting young adults on the autism spectrum and with learning differences to succeed in college, employment, and independent living. CIP’s mission is to inspire independence and expand the foundation on which young adults can build happy and productive lives.

For individuals ages 16 to 26. Some services may be covered by insurance or public assistance. Families are encouraged to check with their insurance companies and with public assistance agencies to understand what coverage may be available.

A division of Medina Creative Housing, Medina Creative Transitions is a residential and commuter post-secondary college program for individuals with disabilities. They offer academic supports, independent living skills training and career skill training through partnerships with Cuyahoga Community College and Lorain County Community College.

Programs are offered during the traditional school year and as a summer program.

This website was designed and intended to be the one-stop site for Ohioans for college access information. There is also information about adult non-degree and vocational programs throughout the state.

There are individualized interactive, search and on-going communication components. A registered user can have long-time planning, guidance, and communication as she/he pursues secondary educational planning.

Cuyahoga County

A free class for persons with developmental disabilities ages 14-24, held at the LEAP offices in Lorain, OH. Subjects include self-advocacy, self-determination, career exploration, health and safety, and artistic expression.

Classes that teach American Sign Language (ASL) to all ages, from babies and children to adults. They offer classes for babies and children up to age 12, and offer workshops for adults in professional and social arenas.

Sign language is a great way for caregivers and parents to communicate with pre-verbal individuals.For children, it is a wonderful enrichment opportunity.

A program for young adults on the autism spectrum that teaches transition to independent adulthood. Offers independent living, social skills training, academic and vocational support, as well as therapeutic support.

Located near Buffalo, New York

A collaboration of professional artists and holistic health care practitioners who provide an unusual selection of life-enriching classes and activities for senior adults, people faced with illness, and anyone with physical or mental challenges throughout the greater Cleveland area.

They will conduct classes in homes or in group settings. They offer various art and holistic health classes including tai chi, yoga, gardening, art and music.
