Part of the STEPS Academy Parent Speaker Series. Luci is the mother of a 9 year old son with moderate to high functioning autism. In her talk, Luci will share her and her family’s experiences in the following areas: getting the diagnosis, decisions about what treatments to pursue, negotiating with treatment providers, educational placement, negotiating relationship issues with friends, family, and “the rest of the world,” best things they did and things that were not as effective, learning to care for yourself and your partner/support system, and their wish list for next chapter.
