A day of learning about ways to advocate for your child, pampering yourself, and connecting with others. Hosted by Attorney Linda Gorczynski, also a parent of a child with special needs, moms will be empowered and given the tools needed to advocate for their children at school. Linda will provide an overview of special education and discuss topics, such as navigating the IEP and ETR forms, what to expect during meetings with administrators, and procedural safeguards. Moms will be able to speak one-on-one with professionals, as well as other moms. Throughout the day, moms will also have the opportunity to relax and recharge by pampering themselves with activities, such as yoga, beauty treatments, and massages.
