Description: The first workshop in ABA (applied behavior analysis) 1 introduces the concept of reinforcement to strengthen adaptive behavior and increase the likelihood that it will occur in the future. Reinforcement is critical in the behavioral treatment of autism spectrum disorders. Participants will learn about positive and negative reinforcement, reinforcer effectiveness, reinforcement preference assessments and reinforcer assessments. Participants will receive a certificate of completion.
